By creating an account or using Crucible, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.
Crucible is a portfolio tracking tool that allows users to record and monitor their precious metals holdings (gold, silver, platinum, palladium). The service displays real-time spot prices from third-party data providers and calculates portfolio values based on user-entered data.
Crucible is NOT a financial advisor, investment advisor, or broker. The service is a tracking and organizational tool only.
Nothing on this platform constitutes financial advice, investment advice, trading advice, or any other sort of advice. You should not treat any of the content, data, or calculations provided by Crucible as a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any investment.
All investment decisions are made at your own risk. You are solely responsible for your investment decisions and any resulting gains or losses. Past performance is not indicative of future results.
We strongly recommend consulting with a qualified financial advisor before making any investment decisions.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.
Subscription: $4.99 per month via web, or $6.99 per month via iOS App Store, for full access to all features including unlimited asset tracking. New users receive a 14-day free trial with no credit card required.
Web subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. iOS subscriptions are billed through Apple. You may cancel at any time through your account settings or your device's subscription management. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
No Refunds: All subscription payments are non-refundable. You have access to a 14-day free trial to evaluate the service before subscribing. By subscribing, you acknowledge that you understand what you are paying for and agree that no refunds will be issued.
You retain ownership of all portfolio data you enter into Crucible. We do not claim any ownership rights over your data.
You may delete your account and all associated data at any time through your account settings. Upon account deletion, all your data will be permanently deleted immediately, except for payment records which may be retained for tax and legal compliance purposes.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Crucible and its owner from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.
We may terminate or suspend your account at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the service. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
